Switching from airplanes to motorcycles 20 years ago, he could never have imagined where it would lead. Ken wanted to build and service components to bring a new level of mechanical perfection to motorcycles. His timing couldn't have been better. Suspension has made great strides in technology since then. Precision and focus are what guides our direction today. The details are what matter the most.

After meeting Ken Hall from SB Suspension at a trackday a few years back I knew he would be the guy to contact for a job of this magnitude.

My wife is challenged by a lack of inseam, so I contacted Ken to see if he could help remedy the problem by lowering my wifes GSX-S1000F.
The goal was to lower the bike a maximum of 1" so as not to adversely effect the handling of this awesome bike. For that Ken would source a CUSTOM JRi Double Adjustable motorcycle shock and build it to his own specifications as well as a Ohlins 20mm valve kit for the front forks to keep everything balanced front to rear.

My wife and I chose a more personal interaction with Ken Hall and made the 351 mile journey to his home in Murfreesboro, TN.
Ken and I both figured that since this was a totally custom build it would be best so we could make adjustments as needed.

Turns out that Ken had the shock dialed in perfectly and he only needed to make a few minor adjustments to the height of the shock as well as a few adjustments to the forks after reassembly.

We were a little concerned that lowering the bike might adversely effect the handling some. Again an unwarranted concern due to the quality of work Ken performs as well as his attention to details. I am happy to report that the handling and responsiveness of the bike is above expectations. handling is maximized and is mostly a thought process with minimal input from the rider.

At the end of the day all I can say is that the value that Ken adds to his product is beyond what you would normally expect. He listened to all our needs and took the time to explain what was possible and any possible trade offs. While we watched him work, we were able to see that it was not just us that received that kind of customer service. Even while working on our bike he found time to address customers that had surprise problems ( when you get your new shock and the kiddies want to play with all the pretty knobs ) and talk them thru the problem over the phone.
